I would have increased the production and exportation of shea butter. According to a technical report, Ghana has the potential to produce 200,000 tonnes of shea butter but only 15,000 is produced. According to the report, shea butter is a hot cake in the US market and a tonne is sold at $4,400.This means the exportation of 200,000 tonnes of shea butter will earn the country $880 million which is even more than the M C A amount.
I would have ensured that equity becomes my watchword in the governance of the country and management of the economy by directing that HIPC funds should always be disbursed in accordance with the GPRS formula. I would not have hesitated to add Upper East and West to the list of the beneficiaries of the M C A. I would have refused to implement the Economic Partnership Agreements. This is because Ghana could lose over 3 trillion cedis if it implements the EPAs. What would you do as a President??

WOW, thats alot of shea butter...I didn't realise Ghana produced that much Shea butter....
If I was President, I would create a housing development for the less fortunate, homeless, and families on a low income. Depending on funding, I might choose to offer it to them at a very low rental price and eventually give them the opportunity to buy later. Seeing as Shea butter is produced in large quantities, there might be job opportunities, no matter how small for homeless people to do and earn a little money to stay off the streets. If I think of anything else, i will post it.
