"THESE GENES” (The sickle cell project)

PROJECT OUTLINE
This is a project outline; what we plan to do, when, and what we need
It is not exhaustive and dates are not necessarily etched in stone.

The Sickle-Cell Project is doing FOUR main things.
- Canvassing SCHOOLS to create AWARENESS, and also setting up SICKLE-CELL clubs in said schools.
- Running an ESSAY COMPETITION with the view of publishing the winning entries in a BOOK, and also in major MAGAZINES and NEWSPAPERS.
- Making a DOCUMENTARY set at showing adults who are living well with the sickle-cell gene
- Providing MEDICATION and HEALTH-CARE to underprivileged sicklers

The Sickle-Cell Project will also be running FUNDRAISERS at different points during this project.
-    A Concert Style Dinner featuring MUSIC, and an AUCTION; here is your chance to have lunch with a star!
-    s.h.a.r.e Photo-Shoot party where everyone gets to party, and have their pictures taken professionally
-    Dance Competition / Show for anyone who likes to dance...or at least watch people dance
-    Stage-Play / Walk
-    Jazz Night which will be an evening of light music, and also the premiere of the Documentary
